ENTRY #4
My conculsion from my gel results did not come out as I expected because my partner and I made a mistake that we are not sure what went wrong. There are many things that could of gone wrong. I think that what went wrong is that we disturbed the pellet when we were suppose to leave it alone.
This is the gel results from another group that had to do the same thing and that test it on fresh corn. As you could see the difference is that we had a band at 7 but not at 5. In their column numer 6 their is a band that is really dark and could be seen easily. Since, our graph did not come out as if we could tell if the corn was GMO or not we had to do some research. I found out that 86% of corn that are planted in the United States are Genetically Modified, so most likely the corn my partner and I tested was a GM corn.
